Work on “You Are Home,” a new mural recently announced by Experience Old Town Warrenton, is underway on the side of the Britches Great Outdoors building at the corner of Culpeper and Main streets. The corner is across the street from the iconic Fauquier County District Courthouse.
Experience Old Town Warrenton, a group of downtown merchants, chose a design by local artist Taylor Boyd for the project. The mural will depict a vibrant rendering of the Blue Ridge Mountains with a large, 3-D fox in the bottom left corner. (read more)

Maybe Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more… in Warrenton.
Warrenton is a very special place during the holidays. It has received awards from Southern Living, and been named several times in the Top 20 Events in the Southeast by the Southeast Tourism Society, and it’s easy to see why. The whole of Old Town is turned into a Christmas wonderland, with one of the central pieces being Gumdrop Square with Santa’s Secret Shop. (read more)

At Experience Old Town Warrenton’s First Friday celebration on Sept. 2, visitors were treated to a colorful surprise on Main Street – 100 gorgeous bouquets of local flowers in a display erected at Third Street. Visitors were invited to pick a bouquet and share it with someone to break down barriers and “See what the world looks like when you … Love Out Loud.” (read more)
