The Old Jail Museum

Built in Warrenton in 1808, the sixth jail in Fauquier ran for only fifteen years before a new jail was erected behind it. Today one of Virginia's most perfectly preserved jails serves as an intriguing museum with self-guided walking tours and exhibits spanning 200 years.

Warrenton Branch Greenway Trail

Parking is located three locations, 1.) South 4th Street, 2.) at the end of Old Meetze Road, and 3.) the Stafford Farm Trail located at 8428 Meetze Road.

This Greenway is the centerpiece of Fauquier County’s trail system from downtown, South 4th Street, to the Stafford Educational Farm and trailhead of the Stafford Farm Trail for a total length of 2.22-miles. It provides a relatively flat paved surface great for joggers, walkers, or bikers and is ADA accessible. The trail crosses two bridges and passes an uncovered old railroad turntable.

Eva Walker Park

Located off Alexandria Pike in Old Town. Children of all ages can come to play and have fun on the playground sets that have been installed for 2 to 5-year-olds and 5 to 12-year-olds.

Visitors can also walk or ride bikes through the walking paths, shoot hoops on the park’s basketball courts, or exercise at the fitness stations. A picnic shelter is available to rent for birthday parties, events, and community activities. Restroom facilities are available. The park is open daily from 6:00 AM to 10 PM.
